Indiana, as the 38th largest State in the Union, and the greater Indianapolis area in particular, is home to some of the richest horse racing in the Great Lakes region. Hooiser Downs and the Indiana Grand Race Course offer live horse betting action that includes Stakes racing throughout the season. From the Dan Patch Invitational that features top standardbreds, to the Grade II Indiana Derby where the thoroughbreds take center stage, triple digit purses are on the line from March until November in the Hoosier State.

Dan Patch Invitational
As the signature event at Hoosier Park, Indiana's most famous racehorse is honored with the running the Dan Patch Invitational in August which is open to pacers who are 4-years old and up.
Indiana Derby
Established is 1995, the Indiana Derby is the richest race in the State and can be a stepping stone to the Triple Crown Racing Series - as illustrated by 2010 Preakness Stakes winner Luckin at Lucky.
